The Call for the ‘STARTING A BUSINESS’ Action of the ‘Competitiveness’ Program NSRF 2021 \u2013 2027 has been published.<\/p>

<\/p>

The objective of this Action is to activate human capital by strengthening self-employment and developing new business initiatives that contribute to increasing employment. The target population primarily consists of specialized & trained young individuals with entrepreneurial skills and mindset, aiming to operate in sustainable & modern sectors (e.g., ICT, Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics, Tourism, etc.). Particular emphasis will be placed on business activities that create new, sustainable job positions. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

<\/i><\/span><\/i><\/span><\/span>Eligible Beneficiaries<\/a><\/div>

Beneficiaries of the action are Under Establishment and Newly Established Small and Very Small enterprises<\/strong> formed by natural persons who have obtained their first degree from a higher education institution (AEI\/TEI) after 1\/1\/2016,<\/u> as well as new businesses (self-employed or corporate\/multi-shareholder schemes with legal forms, which commenced operations after 1\/1\/2025<\/u>, that will operate or are already operating in the eligible NACE codes of the Call.<\/p>\n

Specifically:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Category A. Under Establishment<\/strong>. Businesses that will be established after the submission date of the Funding Application and no later than 365 days from the date of electronic notification of the final approval of the funding application, and will operate exclusively in eligible NACE code(s) throughout the implementation period of the business plan and until the investment is repaid.<\/p>\n

Category B. Newly Established. <\/strong> Newly established businesses are defined as those established from 01\/01\/2025 up to the date of submission of the Funding Application.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that they must have continuous operation exclusively in eligible NACE codes of the Action from the date of business commencement with the IAPR and throughout the implementation period of the business plan until the investment is repaid.<\/p><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The business is obliged to complete at least two (2) verified semesters<\/strong> of operation (two milestones). Otherwise, the business plan will lead to the revocation of the integration decision and recovery of any public funding received, in accordance with the current institutional framework. Covering the aforementioned minimum verified operation is a prerequisite for the certification\/payment of aid for one (1) FTE (or a fraction of an FTE). <\/p>\n

The duration of the grant<\/strong> may concern continuous verified operation of twelve (12) or eighteen (18) months<\/strong>, from the date of commencement of the business's activity [i.e., at least two (2) milestones\/semesters of verified operation from the commencement date with the IAPR].<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Indicative operating expenses<\/strong> that are eligible for the Action, within the framework of applying simplified cost selection and lump sum calculation<\/strong>, may be the following:<\/p>\n
