The pre-announcement of the “SME Internationalization” action has been made, with a total public expenditure of 200 million euros, to be implemented with resources from the ESPA “Competitiveness 2021-2027” Program.

The action aims to encourage investment plans focused on leveraging and developing modern technologies, upgrading produced products and/or provided services, and generally improving the activities of existing SMEs. The goal is to enhance business competitiveness and outward orientation, integrate them into international value chains, and strengthen the international presence of their products, including through participation in trade fairs organized outside Greek territory in the EU and third countries.

Beneficiaries under this action are existing medium, small, and very small enterprises, eligible to subsidize their investment plans with a rate of up to 60% and a maximum subsidy limit of 200,000 euros.

The budget for each investment plan starts from €80,000.

The subsidized budget of the investment plan may not exceed the highest turnover achieved in one of the three (or fewer, if the enterprise does not have three) fiscal periods of the year preceding the submission of the funding application.

The grant percentage may receive a tiered increase of up to 20% upon the integration of the investment plan. This increase will be disbursed at each stage of physical and financial object certification, depending on the export target the enterprise commits to.

The maximum duration for the completion of the physical and financial scope of the plan cannot exceed twenty-four (24) months from the date of issuance of the Integration Decision.

The eligible Activity Codes (KAD), the submission period for funding applications, the required supporting documents, and the obligations of beneficiaries will be defined in the Detailed Call for the Action.
